Searle Vitamin Water: The Verdict

The competition in beverage is growing all over the world. Many companies are trying to get a bigger slice of the pie by introducing new variants or new products. With the reduction of sales of carbonated drinks around the world, many people had wondered whether packaged juices would eventually fill in the void; until a new contender entered the Pakistani market: Searle’s Vitamin Water.

The concept itself is amazing, a source of vitamins on the go, which actually doesn't taste bad at all. I personally think it is a good alternative to carbonated drinks (or energy drinks for that matter) and should be able to satisfy your sweet tooth at the same time. Dunkin Donuts was amongst the first cafes to bundle a healthy drink with a meal rather than the usual combo of a fizzy drink and the main source.  The product is available in 5 distinct flavors, namely: apple, peach, coconut, red berries and watermelon.

Vitamin Water does not contain caffeine or any other controversial element, which may harm the body. Talking from a personal experience, the product freshen you up but is short lived. The pricing of the product is also reasonable; ensuring the masses are able to afford it.

People should not view Searle Vitamin Water as a substitute or even an alternative to normal water; a mistake some people made with the introduction of various fizzy drinks in 1960s. This product, along with all its vitamin advantages, does contain a significant amount of calories. This means that over consumption of this product can lead to obesity related health problems.

People, these days, are trying so hard to replace the natural sources of vitamins and minerals with artificial products, such tablets and now vitamin water. Yes, these products do improve your vitamin level but cannot beat the natural source of these valuable parts of our body. According to Dr.Kevin M Connolly, (a famous diet supplement expert) certain vitamins and minerals perform better when taken in natural form rather than the synthetic(man made) version of it.

Consuming Vitamin Water once in a while is good but, according me, should not be seen as an alternative to fruits and vegetables, which offer a greater and better diversity of vitamins and minerals.
